CaliC@t Design Process

Step 1 Discovery
In this initial stage of starting a new project, all relevant information needs to be supplied by you before I can begin the physical design process. I rely on my Request for Quote Questionnaire (RfQ²) to initiate your specifications as a new client. The RfQ² will ask you for information regarding the following topics:

:: Nature of Service
:: Range of Content
:: About your Business
:: User Experience
:: Deadline and Budget

Step 2 Defining the Project and Project Needs
Once you have described your plans and goals for your site, I will work with you to define the key elements of your project:

:: Content
Exactly what content is needed to complete your project (ie, copy, photos, images, other).

:: Technical Considerations
I will define any specific technical considerations that your project may require.

:: The Deliverable
I will discuss your project with you to get a firm mutual understanding of exactly how you visualize your project. If during the design process you wish to have an element changed - I am more than happy to make redesigns. At this stage, however, it is good for me to start planning my approach.

:: Budget Considerations and Documentation
Based upon the agreed project to be developed, a budget and contract will be drawn up by CaliC@t Design. Any deadline requirements will also be defined within this contract.

Step 3 Research, Design & Development
I will begin the design process by thoroughly studying your wishes and specifications. I will also perform additional research as needed. At this stage I will also begin building up a theme (creating the feeling and look that you visualized) to build around later. Your input is welcome at all stages. .

Step 4 Final Production and Deployment
After all preliminary design work is completed, and all stages have met your approval and needs, the final product is delivered, or prepared to go live or go to print.

:: Publishing
Getting a website live on the Internet is the easy part. Once you have a URL registered (which you may already), it simply needs to be hosted. You can host your site with Calic@t, or I can setup the site on your own separate hosting package.

:: Support
I believe that a long-term relationship between myself and my clients is key to the mission of CaliC@t Design and my mission as a design professional. Therefore, I will do everything within my power to ensure that your final product will perform to its fullest.
